SRINAGAR: India has resumed some incoming Short Message Service (SMS) blocked since Aug 5 communication blackout into the occupied valley on Wednesday.

Users have started receiving the Short Message Service in the valley from today, officials in New Delhi said.

However, the mobile phone users are still unable to send text message, they added.

On Aug 5, India had abrogated Article 370 withdrawing special status given to occupied Kashmir.

The government had imposed the military curfew and communication blackout in the occupied Kashmir.
