Panama papers never been threat to govt: Marriyum

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb on Saturday said that Panama Papers had never been and will never be any threat to the government.

Talking to the media persons in Islamabad, she said the politics of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif revolves around serving the masses with dedication and honesty. She said it is the vision of the prime minister that terror acts have significantly been reduced and power outages curtailed to two to three hours.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said credit also goes to the prime minister for connecting the provinces and cities through road infrastructure and public transport projects.

Responding to a question, the Minister of State said that the stance of Imran Khan keeps changing every passing hour as it is totally based on falsehood, allegations and anarchy. She said that investigation into leaked news is going on.

About Bilawal Bhutto, she said that he should put his demands from the Sindh government to improve situation there, adding that if Sindh government did not accept his demands, then he could complain to the prime minister.

Addressing the International Mountain Film Festival in Islamabad, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzaib said the Prime Minister is himself concentrating on the revival of film industry in Pakistan.

She said the Government is making all out efforts for the betterment of industry and the artists. She said establishment of fund for film industry will be announced soon.

She said with our vast array of cultural and civilizational asset, we can vivify the positive and real image of our country internationally. She said the youth needs to be engaged in all endeavors aimed at promotion and enrichment of our culture and civilization.

Marriyum Aurangzaib underscored the need for bringing the film industry in line with the international standards.
