ISLAMABAD: The Upper House on Thursday approved five amended in Panama Bill submitted by Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer, Senator Sirajul Haq with vast majority.

The Senator tabled recommendations for authorising inquiry commission on Panama scandal to set punishments besides trial of accused persons. Report of the inquiry commission should be publicised to avoid any kind of secrecy. Nationals should be included as part of the commission for provision of concerned information besides having chances work alongside with it. Moreover, neither government nor Opposition will be given authority to make any amendments in Terms of Reference (ToR) after formation of inquiry and trial commission over Panama Papers’ scandal.

Senator Sirajul Haq while talking to media persons outside Senate building expressed sorrow over delay tactics being adopted by the government for legislation of anti-corruption strategies despite emergence of Panama Papers’ documents for past eight months. He also criticised govt over freezing JI’s four bill against corruption in the National Assembly.

Sirajul Haq said the government must have to release report of its achievements and failures over National Action Plan (NAP) envisaged after APS attack.

Senator Sirajul Haq slammed the rulers for not taking any lesson from Fall of Dhaka 1971 incident so far as they were similar tactics of injustice distribution of resources in all provinces. He said previous rulers neither accepted mandate of Bengalis nor considered them for equivalent rights as a Pakistani citizen.

Fire of hatred amongst the Bangladeshi citizens was proven beneficial for enemies of Pakistan to complete their ulterior motives to shatter the country into two pieces. He urged rulers to eliminate feeling of deprivation amongst all nationals to void such incidents in future.
