Pakistan’s first coronavirus patient fully recovers, releases from hospital

KARACHI: In a positive sign, the first confirmed patient of coronavirus in the country discharged from the hospital after a complete recovery on Saturday.

Twenty-two-year-old  Yahya Jaffri was diagnosed on Feb 26 and transferred to quarantine of a private hospital.

He remained under treatment and isolation for about 14 days and underwent tests thrice before being discharged from the hospital.

Pakistan on Thursday confirmed the 6th case of the coronavirus in the country.

All the confirmed patients had a history of travel to Iran.
