The administration of the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) has banned all student organizations, warning that the admissions of the students found involved violating the order will be cancelled.

However, the student organizations have expressed concern over the FUUAST decision.

In a statement issued by the acting registrar, it has been said that a ban has been imposed on student organizations in the university and the student organizations will not be allowed to engage in teaching and non-teaching activities.

According to the statement, strict action will be taken against the students who do not follow the order, while the admission of the students who violate the order will also be canceled immediately.

The Islami Jamiat Talaba and People’s Students Federation (PSF) have expressed concern over the decision.

A spokesperson for the Islami Jamiat Talaba said that banning student organizations is like suppressing the voice of students. The People’s Students Federation said that the ban on the activities of student organizations is not acceptable. PSF warned of protests against the decision at every forum.
