Pakistan to get $500 million from WB, ADB to deal coronavirus outbreak

NEW YORK: Pakistan will be provided $500 million to deal with coronavirus outbreak, the World Bank and Asian Development Bank announced on Wednesday.

According to an official statement, the World Bank would provide over $1800 million while the Asian Development Bank will immediately release $500 million to Pakistan to deal with coronavirus outbreak.

Meanwhile, as of Wednesday afternoon the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus has reached 254 in Pakistan after the emergence of new cases in Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.

Nine new cases have been reported in Sindh today.
