This has been announced by Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Chairman Lt Gen Muhammad Afzal while speaking at a presser alongside Prime Minister Imran Khan here on Tuesday.

Lt Gen Afzal told media that that currently there were about 2,200 ventilators in the country. Of them, just about half would be available for the coronavirus sufferers.

We have approached all selling countries but unfortunately these are not available anywhere except in China.

He said that the Chinese government is helping us buy ventilators.
