Pakistan thrash Canada by 7 wickets in U-19 CWC

Pakistan have beaten Canada by seven wickets in a group march of Under 19 World Cup being played at Sylhet District Stadium on Saturday.

Pakistan, who were put into field, bowled Canada out on 178 in 48.4 overs. Only four Canadian player managed to enter in double figure. Bhavindu Adhihetty was top scorer with 51.

Hasan Khan claimed three wickets for the Green-shirts.

In response Pakistani opener got a good start and just when they were looking good nick Canadian bowler Akash Gill strike and broke partnership on 51 runs. Skipper Gauhar Hafeez lost his wicket on 20 runs.

Pakistan chased down target in just 40.5 over with opener Zeeshan Malik claiming man of the match award for his unbeaten 89 runs.

The Green-shirts have now played two matches in his group and won both of them. Pakistan will face Sri Lanka in his last group match on February 3rd.
