Pakistan hockey team’s tour to South Korea in doldrums

LAHORE: Pakistan hockey team’s tour to Korea is in doldrums as senior players have refused to go on the tour due to non-payment of full daily allowances of recently concluded Australia tour.

The senior players of team have demanded Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) to pay all outstanding payments of Australia tour otherwise they will not attend the Korea tour.

Team management has apprised the demands of the senior players to the PHF.

It is pertinent to mention here that National Hockey team have to depart for South Korea on Friday (tomorrow) where they have to play a four-matches series against South Korea.

The series begins from May18th in South Korea.Pakistan is playing the series in connection with preparing for world Hockey League. World Hockey League will begin from June 20th in Belgium.

The League has a status of Olympic 2016 qualifying round. The top three teams of the tournament will be allowed to join the multi sports event.

Pakistan and South Korea first match is scheduled on May 18th, second on May20, third on 22 and fourth on May 24th respectively.
