ISLAMABAD: For key reforms and budgetary support, $1.3 billion loan has been approved by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on Friday.

The bank said that the loan would help strengthen Pakistan’s slowing economy. It will also shore up public finances in the country, an ADB statement says.

According to the bank, Pakistan has been granted the loan after Islamabad implemented the IMF-supported reforms and initiatives to improve current account deficit.
