ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Saturday strongly condemned India for trying to prevent international cricket players from participating in the coming Kashmir Premier League (KPL).

Earlier, India has tried to prevent Herschelle Gibbs, the  former South Africa batsman from playing in upcoming Kashmir Premier League (KPL) starting from August 6.

Taking to Twitter today, Gibbs accused that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had tried to prevent” him from playing the Kashmir Premier League.

Informational Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that this not the first time that Modi’s government has damaged the spirit of cricket for its nefarious politics.

The pressure on Herschelle Gibbs not to participate in the Kashmir League is a continuation of this old practice, he added.

The information minister strongly condemn the India’s BCCI measures.
