Pakistan completes sixth review under IMF programme: Ishaq Dar

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that the country completed sixth review for the first time in history under International Monetary Funds (IMF) programme while the country was also prepared for the seventh review.

Ishaq Dar claimed that Pakistan would soon be named amongst fast developing nations while additional electricity would be generated by 2017.

International rating agencies were observing positive economic indicators in Pakistan, he said.

He said that Pakistan has completed sixth review for the first time in history under International Monetary Funds (IMF) programme while the country was also prepared for the seventh review.

Dar added that the government has aimed to lift foreign reserves up to $2 billion at its highest level of the history. He claimed that 10,000 megawatts of additional electricity would be inducted in the National Grid by the end of 2017.
