What steps are being taken to save and improve water supply in Pakistan.
The World Water Day is celebrated around the world on March 22 every year and this year it is being celebrated on the theme of Value Water.
Considering the importance of water in Pakistan, work is underway on several water projects, including Bhasha Mohmand and Dasu, which will increase water storage capacity on the one hand and affordable hydropower on the other.
Pakistan will increase its water storage by 90 per cent in 10 years and increase hydropower generation by 100 per cent.
Being an agricultural country, the importance of water in Pakistan increases even more, to increase the per capita water availability in the country.
