LAHORE: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, said that Pakistan was Allah Almighty’s greatest blessing for the Muslims of South Asia and it was the duty of our people to safeguard her integrity and solidarity and strive for her progress and prosperity.

In an Independence Day message to the nation, he said that this Day reminded us of the pledge our forefathers had made at the time of establishment of Pakistan, and this was an occasion to carry this message to the entire nation and keeping it alive in the minds and hearts of the new generations.

The JI chief recalled that the Muslims of the sub continent had staged history’s biggest migration and sacrificed their all for establishing this Islamic state. However, he said, that the people who had been in power in the country so far had failed to discharge their duties towards achieving the noble goal before the founding fathers. Due to this, not only the country’s image abroad had been hurt but the future of the country had become insecure.

Sirajul Haq said that Pakistan’s sworn enemy India had not accepted Pakistan from her heart and her conspiracies to destabilize this country were no more a secret. Scores of RAW agents including Kashmir Singh, Sirbagit Singh and Kalboshan, had been taken into custody. However, he said, the government had not presented the country’s case before any international forum effectively.

He said that the Kashmiris had been fighting for independence for the last seventy years. During this period, about one lakh Kashmiris had been martyred while thousands of Kashmiri youth were suffering in torture camps.

Sirajul Haq said the world powers had proved that only the mighty could get his rights and a weak side should not expect justice from the international court of justice.

Meanwhile, LAHORE, Aug. 13 (INP): Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, will hoist the national flag atop the JI headquarters, Mansoora, tomorrow, at 9 a.m.  He will also address the Mansoora staff and JI workers gathered on the occasion.

Later, he will proceed to Azad Kashmir and lead a caravan from Muzafarabad to Chakothi on August 15, India’s Independence day, being observed by the Kashmiris as Black Day. The caravan would give a message to the Kashmiris that they were not alone in their struggle for freedom and the Pakistani nation stood firmly behind them.

The JI chief has appealed to the people to reach Muzaffarabad in large numbers and join the caravan.
