‘Pak-Turkey trade volume to be enhanced up to $1 billion’

ANKARA: Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkey Sohail Mahmood has said that efforts were being made to enhance bilateral trade volume with Ankara to $1 billion.

In an interview, he said relations between Turkey and Pakistan rely on “deep mutual trust, understanding each other and cordiality.”

He said that the efforts were being made to enhance the current trade volume of $600 million to $1 billion.

Current level of trade volume is not desired and needs to be enhanced, he added.

Mahmood said a big market of 270 million people exists in the two countries.

He said that soon Pakistan will have two Yunus Emre Cultural Centers in Karachi and Lahore.
