Pak-Kiwi T20I series set to begin today amid rain threat

The much awaited T20I series between Pakistan and New Zealand is all set to kick off today at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Both the teams had extensive practice session yesterday as part of final preparations before the start of the T20I series.

Before the training session, the trophy was unveiled in a ceremony, which was attended by Pakistan captain Babar Azam and Kiwi captain Michael Bracewell.

On the occasion, Kiwi captain Michael Bracewell told the media that they have given opportunity to young players in the team and will try to play well against Pakistan.

Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam also said in the press conference that he will try to give opportunity to all the players before the World Cup in this series.

He added that after PSL, he worked on fitness in the Kakul camp. The players playing for Pakistan have given performances as the batting lineup has become stronger with Shadab and Imad joining the team.

It should be noted that the first three matches of the T20 series between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played in Rawalpindi Stadium, while the remaining two games will be played in Lahore.
