WASHINGTON: National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s domestic phone record program has been closed. The Senate did not make any decision about the future of the program. US constitution section 215 was discussed in the Senate.

Obama’s administration was of view that the lapse of the program could harm the national security. CID Director John Brennan said while appearing at “Face the Nation” that those tools gave them better ability to see the tactical moves that various terrorist groups or individuals were making.

A former NASA General Counsel Stewart Baker said that the program was not good and irresponsible.
