Not a single case of coronavirus confirmed so far in Pakistan: special aide to PM

ISLAMABAD: Not a single case of coronavirus has been confirmed in the country, says the special assistant to the prime minister on the National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination here.

Flanked by Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing while addressing a presser here on Monday, Dr Zafar Mirza said that Islamabad had acquired the medical kits being used to diagnose the coronavirus.

We have shared with the provinces the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the prevention and treatment of the coronavirus, the special aide to the PM added.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chinese ambassador voiced hope to cope with the coronoavirus.

He said that the epidemic of coronavirus broke out during the spring festival.
