LAHORE: PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that non-refund of sales tax is a denial of Imran Khan’s claims.
Talking to media here, the PML-N spokesperson said that the closure of tractor and agricultural equipment manufacturing units is dangerous for the economy while the closure of these units in the face of historic inflation will further increase inflation.

She said that the agriculture and farmers of the country would be affected due to which poverty and unemployment would increase further and these were the terrible results of development brought by Imran Khan.
The PML-N leader said that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has failed to refund sales tax for two years and if the revenue has increased then why the payment of sales tax refunds has been stopped for two years.
She further said that non-refund of sales tax of billions of rupees was a negation of Imran Khan’s claims. Hike in price of tractors would have negative impact on the country’s food security, she added.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said that if agriculture is affected it would increase both food shortages and prices. Inflation will rise further in the country, which is already at an all-time high.
She said that inflation was higher in rural areas than in cities. The PML-N leader demanded immediate payment of sales tax refund to all including production units.
Last month, PML-N central spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb had said that the nation wants to get rid of Imran Khan.
Speaking to the media in Lahore, the PML-N leader said that it was a serious joke by announcing to provide 30 per cent subsidy after raising 100 per cent inflation.
Nation is dying of rising inflation but the government is turning deaf ear to it, she added.
The PML-N leader said that someone else is running the Imran Khan’s kitchen.
