ISLAMABAD: An inquiry report presented before Interior Minister stated that Shehbaz Taseer, the son of slain former Punjab Governor Salman Taseer, was not recovered in any kind of operation.
An inquiry committee formed to investigate conflicting reports over Shehbaz Taseer’s release by the abductors has presented its probe report to Interior Minister.
The report revealed that the abductors had released Shehbaz Taseer instead of claims made for his recovery after an operation. It was also stated that it was still undisclosed whether any ransom amount was paid to the abductors or not. No one has right to prove its performance through recovery of Shehbaz Taseer, report said.
Inquiry committee also recommended to issue notice to Inspector General (IG) Balochistan Police.
