No one shall be permitted to use violence in name of political activity: Corps Commanders’ Conference

The Corps Commanders’ Conference presided over by Army Chief General Asim Munir has reiterated the commitment that no one will be allowed to use violence in the name of political activity and that the army will perform its duties as per the constitutional mandate and the instructions of the Election Commission.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), the 262nd Corps Commanders’ Conference was held under the chairmanship of Army Chief General Asim Munir, in which the deployment of the army to assist the Election Commission in the elections was discussed.

The forum said that no one will be allowed to use violence in the name of political activism, sabotage of free and fair elections, the army will perform its duties as per the constitutional mandate and instructions of the Election Commission.

According to ISPR, the participants of the conference were briefed on Indian state-sponsored terrorism and India’s heinous campaign to target Pakistani citizens.

The forum agreed that India’s flagrant violation of international laws and India’s true face should be exposed before the world.

Army Chief General Asim Munir said that Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are sacred and inviolable, national sovereignty, national honor and aspirations of the people will not be compromised.
