No one expressed disapproval against Rangers: Chandio responds Nisar

KARACHI: Sindh’s Information Advisor to CM, Moula Bakhsh Chandio responded Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar clarifying that nobody in the provincial government has expressed disapproval against Rangers.

While addressing a press conference in Karachi here on Saturday, Sindh information minister said that no one in the Sindh government including chief minister did not lose confidence over Rangers’ presence in Sindh.

The information minister slammed Nisar by saying that ‘some people does not want to promote democracy in Pakistan.’ He added that Nisar should stop threatening the provincial government. He said that matter relating extension of period for exclusive powers to Rangers was taken to Sindh Assembly to remove legal complications.

He rejected claims of Chaudhry Nisar, saying that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has never ever derailed democratic developments in the country. He clarified that all political parties had supported initiation of targeted operation in Karachi. He praised joint efforts of Rangers and police to bring peace in the metropolis and across the Sindh.

Chandio said that the Sindh government is not reducing powers of Rangers and Karachi operation will be continued till complete elimination of terrorism. He said that the matter will be resolved till Monday.

Earlier, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar on Saturday strongly criticised the provincial government of Sindh over making delay in extension of period for exclusive powers of Rangers busy in Karachi Operation against criminals and terrorists across the metropolis.
