NGOs offices sealed on EAD advice: Chaudhry Nisar

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that the offices of Save The Children was sealed on the advice of Economic Affairs Division.

He said that international NGOs were not under the Interior Ministry. He continued that Interior Ministry only give security clearance to NGOS.

He said almost one thousand people involved in anti state activities under the cover of NGOs.

Nisar Ali Khan said two international NGOs were banned in Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan. He said both the NGOs were registered in Africa while US, European Union, India and Israel were supporting them.

Nisar said that NGOs data would be regulated within three months. Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said thousands of foreigners were issued Pakistani identity card and passports in the past, but now those ID cards and passports would not be verified.
