NEPRA reduces power tariff before Eid-ul-Fitr

ISLAMABAD: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has reduced the power tariff by Rs 2.68 per unit.

Nepra reduced the power tariff on the recommendation of Central Power Purchasing Agency over fuel adjustment.

The adjustment were made for the month of May where the cost of production per unit was Rs 4.25 while consumers paid Rs 8 to 9 for a unit.

However the power cut will not apply on Karachi-Electric (K-Electric).
