Former president and co-chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Asif Ali Zardari, said that Nawaz Sharif has started revising political tactics that he adopted in 1990. He threatened ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) for severe consequences for commencing ‘politics of revenge.’

Zardari mocked PM Nawaz Sharif by saying that seeking pardon after penalties were only credited to Nawaz Sharif. The statement came forth from the PPP top head here on Monday amid cold war begun between old coalition partners of the government.

He levelled serious allegations on the premier that PM Nawaz Sharif wanted to distribute nation in order to ‘save their all-time ally Taliban’.

Zardari reiterated that recent verdicts of the election tribunals have proved PPP’s previous claims for terming the 2013’s general election as ‘ROs election.’ He demanded for carrying out strict actions against the faces accused in Asghar case and Model Town incident.

He claimed that a video footage has exposed Rana Mashood who is receiving bribe for ‘Mian Brothers’ but no arrests were made in the connection.

The statement said that Pakistan military is fighting a decisive war against terrorism but PM Nawaz-led government is avoiding befitting response to arch rival India despite various casualties resulted in unprovoked attacks on border areas. The PPP co-chairman alleged that PM Nawaz is distributing nation to affect war against terrorism. He clarified that PPP is standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the military troops.

Zardari alleged that arrests of Qasim Zia, son of Senator Bangash and Dr. Asim Hussain was part of avenging politics by the federal government while arrest warrants of former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani and Makhdoom Ameen Faheem were also part of same plan.

He urged to make accountability of federal lawmaker who publically delivered statement in favour of money laundering. He complained that bureaucrats in Sindh province are being harassed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
