Names of 59 miscreants sent to military courts for trial: TV report

ISLAMABAD: A local TV has obtained the list of criminals sent for trial in military courts.

According to the list obtained by the TV, the names of 59 miscreants have been sent for trial in military courts.

According to the list, the names of 28 criminals from Lahore, 8 from Rawalpindi, 10 from Gujranwala, 5 from Mianwali and 5 from Faisalabad have been sent for trial in military courts.

The names of Mehmoodur Rashid’s son-in-law Akram Usman, Ibad Farooq, Brigadier (R) Javed Akram are also included in the list.

Petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court against the trials of civilians in military courts, which are being heard by a 7-member bench headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan, in which the court has raised the question that when does the Army Act come into force? What offenses are covered by the Official Secrets Act? When did Solenzen violate the Army Act or the Official Secrets Act? Who were arrested under the Official Secrets Act?
