Murree receives light snowfall Tuesday

ISLAMABAD: Murree received light snowfall on Tuesday, which is turning weather chill, the Meteorological Department of Pakistan said.

The weather pundits also predicted that this wet spell will continue for next two days.

A met department official Muhammad Farooq said, light snowfall with light rain and cloudy weather conditions are likely to prevail in Murree.

“Foggy conditions would also continue during night and morning hours.

Large number of tourists are visiting Murree to enjoy the snowfall along with their families.

According to local administration, the winter resorts including Bhurban, New Murree, Kashmir Point, Pindi Point, Mall Road and Ayubia are packed with tourists.

Galyaat, Hazara and Bhurbhan received more snow as compared to Murree city. All restaurants are packed with tourists, the local administration said.

The lowest temperatures were recorded at Kalat, Kalam -12øC, Astore -11øC, Skardu -10øC, Parachinar, Rawalakot -8øC, Gupis -7øC, Dir, Dalbandin, Quetta -6øC, Malam Jabba, Murree -5øC, Abbottabad -4øC and Gilgit -3øC.
