KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) candidates Waseem Akhtar and Arshad Vohra have been elected as Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Karachi respectively, according to unofficial and unconfirmed results.

Two hundred and ninety five (295) out of total 308 votes were cast in the elections on Wednesday.

Waseem Akhtar, who is under police custody, was brought to cast his vote from Central Jail Karachi.
