Mirwaiz urges India and Pakistan to hold talks on Kashmir

The Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq emphasizing India and Pakistan to engage in dialogue over Kashmir has said everything will perish if they fail to realize the importance of dialogue.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement issued in Srinagar while terming the recent border escalation as catastrophic said there is no end to bloodshed in occupied Kashmir.

He also said that killings and repression were breaking all records in Kashmir and urged both the countries to engage in dialogue before the situation goes out of their hands.

“The situation at LOC is becoming catastrophic by the day while in Kashmir killings and repression are breaking records! If India and Pakistan do not realise the urgency of dialogue all will perish,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) condemned the violent suppression of political dissent by Indian forces in Jammu and Kashmir.
