Mirwaiz Umar Farooq’s house arrest restrictions lifted

Srinagar, Occupied Kashmir: Occupied Kashmir’s Hurriyat leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq’s detention has been lifted.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the restrictions imposed on the chairman of Hurriyat Forum Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who has been under house arrest for 20 months, have been relaxed.

Mirwaiz can give Friday sermon in Jamia Masjid after 82 weeks.

He was placed under house arrest on August 4, 2019, a day before the Occupied Territories lost their special status.
