Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi clinched Best Player of the Year accolade at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai.

The La Liga giants, who won a historic treble last season, were named Best Club of the Year while chief Josep Maria Bartomeu was awarded the Best President of the Year accolade.

“[I’m] obviously very happy but all these awards are for the whole club,” Messi said, according to Gulf News.

Messi had a magical 2015, leading Barcelona to five trophies, including the Club World Cup last Sunday. Barca also won the team of the year award.

On the national level, Messi led Argentina to the Copa America final, where it lost to host Chile in the summer.

The Argentine has made 60 appearances for club and country so far in 2015, scoring 61 goals. The talented attacker could add another award in early January when the Ballon d’Or is announced.
