Lahore: Sardar Aftab Akbar, whose academic qualification is just matriculation, has been elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Punjab Education Foundation.

Sardar Aftab Akbar was elected in the first meeting of the newly constituted Board of Directors of the Punjab Education Foundation and despite his education up to matriculation, he was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Sardar Aftab Akbar, an elected member of the Punjab Assembly from Chakwal, belongs to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and his academic qualification is mentioned as matric on the Punjab Assembly website.
