Marco Silva has agreed to sign a deal to become new Watford boss, after leaving relegated Hull City.

The Hull City sacked Walter Mazzarri earlier this month, with the Portuguese chief taking over at Vicarage Road for 2017-18.

Porto and Crystal Palace were interested in the signing the Portuguese who impressed despite relegation from the Premier League.

We revealed on May 14 that Silva, 39, was their No1 choice to replace Mazzarri.

Watford put together a highly-incentivised deal for him to take charge next season – with the Portuguese star biting.

Silva left Hull after their relegation from the Premier League – leaving the club in search of their fourth manager in less than a year.

The Portuguese boss, 39, held talks with Hull’s chairman Assem Allam and vice-chairman Ehab Allam at a hotel on the outskirts of the city on Wednesday night.
