BUENOS AIRES: Argentina legend footballer Diego Maradona has announced to contest FIFA presidential election. He was among critic of Sepp Blatter.
Former FIFA president Sepp Blatter announced this month that he would be stepping down four days after being elected for a fifth term amid a U.S. probe into 150 dollars million in bribes allegedly paid to top soccer officials.
It is pertinent to mention here that Argentina won football World Cup in 1986 under the captaincy of Maradona and he was awarded the best player of the tournament.
