ISLAMABAD: Counting of votes of first ever local government elections in Islamabad capital territory is underway.
Voters turned up in large numbers at the polling stations to use their right of franchise. A great enthusiasm was witnessed especially in the rural areas of the capital territory where men and women voters queued up outside the polling stations to cast their vote.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sardar Raza Khan visited different polling stations in Islamabad to review arrangements made for the Local Government Elections.
Secretary Election Commission Babar Yaqoob also visited different polling stations. They expressed satisfaction over election arrangements and polling process.
