Lahore rape case: Court extends remand for three-day

The Mall Road gang-rape victim has excused herself from recording her statement before the court as the physical remands of eight arrested persons extended for three days.

The police presented the class-8 victimised student and key culprit Adnan Sanaullah among eight persons before the court to get their statements recorded.

Rana Town’s resident plaintiff’s counsel told the magistrate that his client is severely traumatised and could not record her statement. He asked the court to grant time for three days.

Investigation officer requested the court to extend alleged culprits’ remands by three days.

The court entertained investigation officer’s plea and granted extension while ordered to file DNA test reports of the accused in the next hearing.

It is pertinent to mention here, a 15-year-old girl was kidnapped and then allegedly intoxicated and raped by as many as eight persons in a guest house on Mall Road on December 25.
