LAHORE: Police have claimed to arrest the main suspect involved in the rape and murder of seven years old Zainab in Kasur on Tuesday here.
According to police, the suspect identified as Imran and a resident of the same area and lives very close to the aunt’s house.
The suspect was earlier arrested and his DNA test was conducted but was released after that, police said.
The suspect is said to have confessed to his crime, police said.
Many suspects were arrested in the case and there DNA was taken from them, police added.
It is mentioned here that Zainab’s body was found from a garbage heap on January 9 five days after she went missing.
The postmortem report had confirmed that the victim was abducted and then raped before being murdered.
