Keeping offshore companies is not an issue, the issue is money laundering: Sirajul Haq

LAHROE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has said this is not the issue that kipping an offshore company is legal or illegal, the issue is illegally transferring money from Pakistan.

Addressing to a ceremony in Mansoora, he said if any leader think he will avoid accountability, so he should get out of this deceptions.

It is good for the government to clear themselves from allegations, JI senator said and adding that, JI leader are looking for excuses to avoid accountability.

Sirajul Haq said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has accepted that his name is not in Panama Leaks but his children named in the Panama papers, and PM also said he is ready for accountability but his advocates in Supreme Court said the court doesn’t have the right to hear panama case.

JI Ameer said whoever looted national wealth should undergo accountability and our basic struggle is to bring looted wealth back to the country and distribute it among the people who lost all the basic necessities due to corruptions of rulers.

He further said that in the country there are several accountably institutions including National Accountability Bureau (NAB) but instead of accountability they also involved in corruption.

There would be strive and violence on streets if we don’t file the case in courts.
