Kashmiris across world observed Black Day today

ISLAMABAD: Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over were observed Black Day on Thursday (today) to convey to the world that India’s occupation of Jammu and Kashmir is totally illegal, unjust and contrary to the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

According to Kashmir Media Service,It was on this day in 1947 when Indian troops invaded Jammu and Kashmir and occupied it in total violation of the Partition Plan of the Subcontinent and against the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

Complete shutdown is being observed in occupied Kashmir to mark the day. Call for the strike has been given by the joint Hurriyet leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.

The leaders have also called for holding of the first Resistance Assembly at the Kashmir Assembly in Srinagar, today.

They have also invited the President and Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and members of AJK Legislative Assembly to attend the gathering.
