Karachi rain claims four lives

KARACHI: Four people were electrocuted after heavy showers lashed Karachi.
The city will receive moderate to heavy rains today as a monsoon system is present in the city’s southeast.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department said that the maximum rainfall of 81 millimetres was recorded in Saadi Town, 73mm in Gulshan-e-Hadeed, 70mm in  PAF Base Faisal, 69mm in Karachi University, 48mm in North Karachi, 35mm in Quaidabad, 38mm in Surjani Town and 11.6mm in Orangi Town.
Tania, a four-year-old girl electrocuted while playing outside her house in Shah Rasool Colony. Three people were electrocuted in Light House, Baldia Town and Sharifabad neighbourhood.
