WASHINGTON: US President Joe Biden hosted the Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations at the White House, which was also attended by the First Lady and Muslim leaders from across the United States.
Speaking on the occasion, President Biden congratulated the Muslim community on the occasion of Eid and said, “We have fulfilled the promise made during the elections that Eid celebrations will be resumed in the White House.

He said that Muslims fast for 30 days in Ramazan and we fast for 40 days.
US President Joe Biden added that last year’s Eid celebrations could not be held because of the code, and that countless Muslim health workers worked side by side during the Covid.
He said that in Ramazan, the community gets a chance to get closer to each other, no one should be targeted on the basis of religion.
Pakistani American singer Urooj Aftab was also present at the ceremony held at the White House.
Urooj Aftab gave his message in a poetic manner in which he mentioned a glass of water. The US President presented a glass of water to the Grammy Award winning Pakistani singer which made the hall resound with laughter.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden has called Russian President Vladimir Putin a war criminal.
In Ukraine, Russia has targeted a Kyiv theater and civilians waiting in line for food.
The US president has sharply criticized the Russian president for targeting refugees in theaters. He said the Russian president is a war criminal.
US President Joe Biden said it was “unforgivable” that the Kremlin was continuing its war on peace.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said Russian forces dropped a large bomb on a theater in Mariupol, killing several people and wounding several others. At least 500 people were in the theater, according to Human Rights Watch.
Meanwhile, the US embassy in Kiev said Russian troops targeted 10 people waiting in line for food in the Chernov area of Kyiv.
Russia, however, has denied targeting civilians. Russia’s Defense Ministry said troops did not attack the building.
