JI demands UN to stop Muslims’ massacre in Myanmar

KARACHI:  Jamaat-e-Islami has demanded United Nations (UN) to play its due roll to stop the Muslim’s massacre in Myanmar.

JI holds a mass rally in Karachi to protest over Muslims bloodshed in Myanmar.  JI Karachi Chapter Ameer Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman was leading the protest rally. JI organized the rally to express solidarity with the Muslims in Mayanmar.

Rohingya Muslim leader Nabihullah also participated in the protest march.  JI Naib Ameer Sindh Muhammad Hussain Mahenti among others were also present in the protest march.

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chapter Ameer Hafiz Naeem–ur-Rehman said that the Buddhist government is committing historic atrocities on the Rohangiya Muslims adding that the entire global community should raise its voice against such tyrannous act of Buddhist government.

He said that the western powers are patronizing the Buddhist government in continuing the atrocities on Rohangiya Muslims in Burma; adding that the genocide of Muslims in Burma was being continued since 1942, but no one can raises its voice against such atrocities.

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Naib Ameer Asadullah Bhutto has demanded of the United Nations (UN) and other World’s human rights organizations to break its criminal silence over atrocities being continued on the Rohangiya Muslims in Burma.

He made this demand while addressing a protest rally taken out by JI Karachi Chapter on Sunday to express solidarity with the Rohangiya Muslims of Burma. The rally was taken out from Naumaish Chowrangi to Sea-Breeze Plaza.

Large numbers of protestors including women, children and elderly men attended the rally. The participants of rally were raised placards and banners inscribed with “Burma stop Muslims massacre”, “Go-down Buddhist rulers”, “atrocities on Rohangiya Muslims not acceptable”, “criminal silence of UN and other human rights organization over the said issue is shameful” and others.

Addressing the rally, Asadullah Bhutto further demanded of the Government of Pakistan to summon ambassador of Burma and record its protest over the said issue; adding that the government should record its protest and called for disconnection of foreign ties with Burma if the atrocities on Rohangiya Muslims would not be stopped immediately.

He further said that the United Nation (UN) should conduct East Tamur like consensus in Burma and ensure a separate state for Rohangiya Muslims in Burma.

Bhutto further said that United Nations in its chartered has clearly stated that the neighboring countries in case of any atrocities being continued on any community in any country should provide save heavens for those who have been affected by the atrocities. However; the neighboring countries are refused to provide shelter to the Rohangiya Muslims in their countries.

“The Rohangiya Muslims are being murdered inhumanly by the Buddhists’ government in Burma while the atrocities are being continued on women and children”, Bhutto added.

On the occasion, JI leader urged all political and religious parties to come forward and play their due role in order to raise voice against the atrocities being committed on Rohangiya Muslims.

He further said that the parliamentarians in national assembly and Sindh Assembly should approve a resolution against the brutal and inhuman act of Buddhist government.

During the protest rally, the participants also demanded to take back Noble Prize from human rights activist Aan Sang Sushi on her criminal silence over the atrocities being continued on Rohangiya Muslims.

Naib Ameer JI Sindh Muhammad Hussain Mahenti while addressing the rally said that the entire Muslim Ummah feels the pain of Rohangiya Muslims and express their solidarity with them; adding that the Buddhist government in Burma does not accept the existence of Rohangiya Muslims and through its tyrannous act compel them to migrate from Burma.

He said that the genocide of Rohangiya Muslims is being continued in Burma and their houses, religious places; mosques are being set ablaze which is condemnable.

Maulana Noor Muhammad Arkani said that the atrocities on Muslims are being continued for decades and due to this the Rohangiya Muslims are compel to migrate from Burma.

He urged that all Muslim World and its leaders should raise their voice against the atrocities being continued on Rohangiya Muslims; otherwise the massacre would not be stopped.

Mufti Maulana Noor-ul-Shar said that the OIC and other Muslims organizations should raise its voice against the atrocities being continued on Rohangiya Muslims.

He further demanded of the Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to play his due role at international level to stop such atrocities on Rohangiya Muslims.

“The protest of Jamaat-e-Islami to express solidarity with Rohangiya Muslims has proved that Muslims feel the pain of other Muslims”, he added.
