During the press conference, Hafiz Naeem reiterated that the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Chapter has already decided to move to the court against K-Electric mismanagement and malpracticing.

Hafiz Naeem categorically stated that the K-Electric has completely failed to ensure relief to the people of Karachi during the holy month of Ramadan; adding that it was also not fulfilled the privatization agreement.

“The K-Electric according to the agreement should have to increase power megawatt in national grid, but after passing 10years; the K-Electric has failed to produce a single unit of power”, he added.

Hafiz Naeem further said that the performance of K-Electric has been unveiled during the scorching summer, as around 600people have lost their lives due to prolonged load-shedding in hot summer.

“The K-Electric, on one hand, has been increased the woes of the masses by sending excessive bills while on the other hand, its terrorists recovery officers affiliated to a certain political party also created problems for the innocent people”, he added.

Hafiz Naeem said that the apathy of K-Electric has compelled the masses to stage protest demonstration against the unannounced load-shedding during the sacred month of Ramadan.

During the press conference, the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Ameer Hafiz Naeem held PPP and MQM—coalition partners in previous provincial government responsible for the ongoing prolonged load-shedding and death of innocent people, as the privatization of K-Electric could made possible by the patronization of both coalition partners.
