JI announces to go SC over Panama issue

PESHAWAR: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer, Senator Sirajul Haq on Tuesday announced to contact the Supreme Court (SC) over Panama leaks issue.

While addressing a press conference in Peshawar, JI leader said that accountability should be made against every corrupt politician including PM Nawaz Sharif.

He said that the government used dialogues on Panama issue as time gaining tactic. He demanded severe punishment over corruption bids in the country.

Haq said that JI will go to SC over Panama issue on August 22. He said that corruption is affecting national progress and prosperity. He said that Pakistani politicians deposited around Rs200 billion in Swiss banks. He said that VIP culture must be eliminated from the country.

Haq said that government was not sincere regarding investigation into Panama leaks and existence of offshore companies.
