WASHINGTON: It is time to build upon the successful meeting of Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Donald Trump, the US State Department spokesman says.
Morgan Ortagus stated this while giving a daily briefing here.
The spokesman said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had promised to urge Taliban to negotiate with the Afghan government.
She said: “We are committed to peace in Afghanistan. We think that was an important step.”
