Israel has banned Muslims from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque during the month of Ramazan.

According to Arab media, on Sunday night, on the occasion of the first Taraweeh of the month of Ramazan, the Israeli security forces blocked the roads leading to Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.

Despite the Israeli ban, many Palestinians managed to enter Al-Aqsa Mosque for Taraweeh prayers.

The occupying Zionist security forces also baton-charged at a gate of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Condemning the Israeli ban, Jordan said that the ban will further worsen the situation. Such restrictions by Israel are an attack on the freedom of worship.

Jordan further said that it strongly rejects the Israeli ban on entering Al-Aqsa Mosque during the month of Ramazan.

It should be noted that today in Arab countries including Palestine, the 1st of Ramazan is being observed.
