Iran’s Raisi presented guard of honour at Prime Minister House

Iranian President Ebrahim has been presented the Guard of Honour upon arrival at the Prime Minister House.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif accorded a warn welcome to the Iranian president at the PM House.

On the occasion, national anthems of both the brotherly countries were played.

Later, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif introduced his cabinet members to the Iranian president.

Ebrahim Raisi also planted a sapling at the PM House.

Earlier, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi along with a high-level delegation has reached Pakistan’s capital Islamabad on a three-day official visit.

The Iranian president is also accompanied by the First Lady and foreign minister.

Several important agreements are likely to be signed during the three-day visit of Raisi.

President Raisi will meet President Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Senate chairman, and Speaker of National Assembly.

Raisi will also visit Lahore and Karachi and meet with the provincial leadership. The Iranian president will be accompanied by his spouse and a high-level delegation comprising the foreign minister and other members of the cabinet, senior officials as well as a large business delegation, a Foreign Office spokesperson.

He said that this will be the first visit by any Iranian head of state to Pakistan after the February 8 general elections this year.
