TEHRAN: Iran said on Saturday that death toll from the coronavirus had reached 1,556 in the country.
Health Ministry spokesperson Kianoush Jahanpour said that total number of confirmed cases now stands at 20,610.
Meanwhile, President Hassan Rouhani has said that the social distancing steps would apply for just two to three weeks with the view to limit the coronavirus epidemic.
