ISLAMABAD: The illegally detained Secretary General of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), Shabbir Ahmad Shah in occupied Kashmir, has urged the Kashmiri people to continue protests against the innocent killings by Indian troops and police in the territory.

Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a statement issued in Srinagar said, at a time when our children are murdered, their eyesight snatched, the honour and dignity of our people put at stake, need of the hour is to continue the protests against the oppression, Kashmir Media service reported.

“If we succumb this time, Indian forces will turn the territory into a graveyard,” he said.

The APHC leader said that the United Nations should reformulate its policy regarding the Kashmir dispute and direct the UNMOGIP to take notice of the crimes being committed by Indian forces against the people of Kashmir.

He appealed to the International Red Cross, and UNICEF to take stock of the situation in Kashmir and play role in this regard.

Meanwhile, the APHC leaders including Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Bilal Siddiqui and Hakeem Abdul Rashid in a joints statement also appealed to the Kashmiri people to continue protests against Indian brutalities.

“People should not let the protest against the oppression go down but continue it to take the mission of martyrs to its logical end,” they said.
