ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Thursday announced new registration policy for non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
While addressing a press conference Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that all NGOs will have to apply online for registration and the ministry will decide their cases within 60 days.
He said that they had suspended manual registrations and directed all NGOs to apply online within 60 days. Nisar said that the NGOs would have to sign an MoU with the ministry and the Mou will be valid for three years.
The interior minister said that they had formed a committee to monitor the NGOs and continued that no NGO can raise funds without the government permission.
Nisar said that NGOs’ officials visa could not be changed. He further said that they would ease passport and CNICs process soon.
